This family-owned farm has been passed on for generations from the descendant of Jerry Klima Sr. Today, they have about 23 lot and retail locations all over the state of California. They have five different locations of pumpkin patches in San Jose. Each site may slightly vary from another location in terms of activities, hours of operation, and pricing. The good news is that they have all this information on their user-friendly website complete with road directions, list of things for kids to do in San Jose, and hours of operation for each lot and retail site.

Admission and parking are free but other games, activities, and paint-ball range tickets are priced separately. Outside food and beverage are not allowed since there are food kiosks available around. Dogs are not allowed to prevent bad interaction with other farm animals. And since pumpkin patches mostly involve kids and is a family event, smoking and vaping is not allowed on the premises.

As local as it gets, there are a lot of things to do in San Jose and one perfect spot is the Martial Cottle Park. The event will take place on October 5th, Saturday, from 10 AM to 3 PM at the beautiful and eminently explorable Martial Cottle Park in the heart of San José. This community park opens up to the public during the harvest and festival season. On one end of the park is a pumpkin patch and on other areas, they sell local produce and goods. It’s also a good place for kids to run around and play with farm animal structures.

One of the must-go San Jose kids events is the annual pumpkin patch event organized by Moreland Educational Foundation. This year, MEF Pumpkin Patch will start the second week of October with a lot of fun activities awaiting kids and the whole family with its haunted trail, carnival games, petting zoos, pumpkin carving, and their newest addition this year – Monster Mash Costume Ball!

Proceeds for this event will go to Moreland Educational Foundation to provide funding for music, sports, art and science in the Moreland School District.
